Tuesday nights on Twitter used to be time for #ADEChat, but now we are opening it up to everyone! All educators are encouraged to join us for #AppleEDUChat on Tuesday nights at 8:00 PM CST!
I think that it would be fitting that my first blog post should be about the Apple Teacher Program. It is a wonderful professional development tool that teaches educators how to utilize Apple products in the classroom. I completed both the iPad and Mac versions of Apple Teacher. There is also a section for Swift Playgrounds. To earn your Apple Teacher Status, you must complete all of the badges for one of the three sections. The iPad and Mac badges teach you about the operating system as well as Apple Apps that can be used in the classroom both for creativity and productivity. This site is great both for Apple novices as well as experts. It starts with the basics and teaches you how to use the tools while giving ideas of how to implement them. If you are in an Apple 1:1 teaching environment, then this is a place I would definitely recommend starting to find help and ideas.
